Experience That Matters
I am a lawyer licensed in both Canada and the US, and I devote my practice to helping real people and fighting corporate greed. My background includes a Master’s degree in clinical psychology and time as a college instructor. Every day, I see first hand the consequences of desperation and our own shortcomings as community members. But I also know that each one of us, individually and collectively, has the capacity and potential for remarkable change.

I am an active and present member of this community. I have run for Parliament twice. I have been involved in community theatre and the Brooklyn PAC (secretary, vice-chair, and chair). I have sung with the Just In Time choir, have given solo concerts, I take dance classes, and I'm in a band. I work out at the Rec Centre five days a week, and I work part-time at a store downtown. I'm a Hockey Mom (Go Lightning!), I fish with my son, and I can't wait for my kids' other sports to start back up so I can cheer them on some more.

Showing Up forÂ
Our Youth
Our teens deserve better from us. They need more safe spaces to socialize, play, and get off their screens. Increasing free and accessible infrastructure for our youth, making them feel more welcome as part of our community, is a huge priority for me.
My Priorities
Building community to build resiliency.
02
Climate Resiliency &
Environmental Stewardship
Climate change impacts everything from the water we drink and the air we breathe to the prices we pay for groceries and home insurance. We can be doing more as citizens and neighbours to mitigate the harm, prepare for emergencies, and care for the paradise we live in.
03
Thoughtful and Transparent Spending
I'm not interested in helping the rich get richer, so that means carefully and thoughtfully researching where every cent we spend as a community is ending up. As Councillor, I will work for the People of Comox, not the corporations and developers who want to profit off of us.
